- Greenhouse Gasses: The three main greenhouse gasses have been increasing ever since the Industrial Revolution. It is due to other human activities than manufacturing and production. This has been caused by increased emissions that have also exacerbated the greenhouse effect. These higher emissions also increased the greenhouse effects, leading to an increase in global surface temperatures.
- Carbon Dioxide: Human activities release more than 30 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year.
- Methane: Human activities have increased methane by more than 2.5x compared to pre-industrial levels.
- Nitrous Oxide: Nitrous Oxide. Since the Industrial Revolution, nitrous dioxide concentrations have increased by 20 percent. The concentrations of nitrous oxide also increased rapidly towards the end of the 20th century.

Take a look at the evidence that scientists have found to support Earth’s rapid changes in climate:
- Carbon dioxide is a major contributor to global temperature increase. Earth’s average temperature has increased by 2 degrees Fahrenheit since the 19th century. Since the 19 th century, Earth’s temperature has increased by 2 degrees Fahrenheit. The record warmest years are tied between 2016 and 2023.
- Oceans are warming up: The oceans have absorbed much of the heat that the sun has produced, since 90% of Earth’s extra energy is stored under the water. Ocean’s top 328 ft. have experienced a temperature increase of over 0.6 degrees F in the last decade.
- The shrinking ice sheets: NASA’s Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment data shows that Greenland has lost an average of “279 billion tons of ice” from 1993 to 2019, while Antarctica has lost approximately 148 million tons ….”
- Satellites show a decrease in snow cover during spring over the Northern Hemisphere.
- Sea Level Rise: Our sea level has risen by 8 inches over the last century.
